Should I choose a geothermal heat pump or a property heat pump?
The property heat pump is at least as effective a solution as a geothermal heat pump, with the difference that you avoid the costly boreholes. When comparing with a geothermal heat pump, the power consumption of the brine pump must be taken into account. The corresponding ground source heat pump loses 10 – 20% input power and COP* through the pump, which pumps the refrigerant from the borehole itself 100 – 150 meters up and down. All data is preliminary.
*The COP value is calculated by examining how many kilowatts the heat pump can generate per kilowatt consumed. The higher the value, the higher the efficiency.
